Today was a very exciting day indeed, as I received confirmation that I had been shortlisted on Navigator’s Around The World In 80 Pages 2017 competition. The entry was a short piece that I entered on a whim, thinking I was unlikely to hear back and in honesty forgot about it, until today that is…
I entered a piece on my trip to Valencia, Spain last Spring, the same piece of writing I shared on this very blog just months ago. You can read the shortlisted entry ‘Breaking Dawn in Benidorm’ here. My story has made the top 80 of over 2000 entries, which is pretty good going in itself, but now it’s going to be published and I’m still in with a chance, albeit slim of making the Top 8, which are each awarded prices. Exciting!
